Are There Laws For Street Vending In Chicago?

July 26th, 2009 Posted in Información General

I’m planning on selling some of my artwork on the streets of Chicago this summer and maybe in Millenium Park, but I am wondering if there are any regulations or laws against that sort of activity?
What are the best places to sell at?
Where is it illegal?
What punishments can I get for setting up/selling?

You can call Chicago City Hall and ask about a license for street vending. You probably won’t get one in Millenium Park, but might be able to sell at various art fairs in the city and suburbs. Check out http://www.chicago.everyblock/business-licenses under itinerant merchant for a little information.
