Be VERY careful. The vending machine route/business is rapidly changing. Most of the typical machines are rapidly becoming out of date. The new machines are offering more than just soft drinks or candy. Try to go to a vending machine convention. Don’t buy an existing route until you learn more, or you’ll be stuck with obsolete equipment!

First off you need a large sum of money. One machine will cost you more then ten gran. But before you go and buy one you have to find a place to put it. Most places now days already have vending machines that are filled by someone. So finding a place to put one is the tough part. When and if you do find a place. Then you can go on line and do a search for vending machines. You must remember one machine will not be profitable. You will need more then one machine. Unless you plan on doing vending Machines on the side. You also have to make sure the stuff is fresh and filled often. The vending contents does ont always cover the investment. Unless you can find a high traffice area. I once looked into this. I could not find any where that did not have vending machines.

Purchasing a franchise is as easy as looking in any newspaper classified section. They are always for sale. I worked in this industry for about 8 years 20+ years ago. It’s all different now. I’m out of it for a reason. Be careful. If you can make money on these small routes that companies are always flipping and selling they would hire employees and run the business route themselves. You might put out 10-20 thousand for a route and when you see you are not making money you get out and they sell it to someone else. That’s how they make their money. Now, if you buy a legitimate company from someone retiring or moving that’s running the route and making money then you might find a good deal but people making money usually don’t give up their business. Another gig is selling you locations and having someone come in behind you and underbid your account list so that you can’t keep up your profits and you end up losing your business and they took it back from you by underbidding your accounts.Just be careful out there.
