make a script with your funny ideas.
make an appointment with a vending machine company and show them your script get them to participate. they should even be willing to supply a tech to wire up some of the tricks for you.
If you have a film teacher, maybe get some kind of introductory letter.
The advertising value to the vending company should convince them to help you.

first you need to have the machine in your hands so you can tamper with it then change the points at which the machine is connected and there you go.

This would be hard to do but if there was a way to get someone inside it, like a vending machine that’s been disabled. Also if it’s people’s reactions your looking for, if you plan to show the film anywhere you’ll have to get the persons permission.
