Is Hacking A Vending Machine Illegal?

i have hacked a vending machine before and there were cameras around….
can i get in trouble for this?
and this does not mean i used special codes or used a pick lock or anything
i just stuck my hand under and got some chips…. is that illegal and can i get in trouble?

Yes that is illegal. Its the same as walking into a store and takeing a bag off the shelf and walking out. It would be considered breaking an entering and theft. The amount is so small no one really would do anything Unless they catch you in the act or someone who cares looks at the camera tapes.

Taking something without paying for it is stealing. Yes, you can get in trouble for it.

Yes, but I highly doubt you’re going to get in trouble for stealing a dollars worth of chips out of a vending machine.
