It all depends on who the competition is and who controls it. Good vending machine locations require heavy or captive traffic like the rest stops on the interstates. Pinball machines and the like are dependent on location. These are being offered in arcades today compared with diners, restaurants and smoke shops of the past.

start small… buy used machines… look locally for a changer repair service, they will point you in the right direction to find used machines… create a website with the name of your city and vending in the url… like newyorkvending.com or something to get leads… don’t buy anything until you have your first location… then go buy the machines you have already located, use a mover the changer repair guys tell you about… .. don’t take any location with less than 60 employees, under that number they are just too small and you will have spoilage in the snack machines… most places want you to charge .60 cents for cokes but that sucks… charge .75 if that’s too much for them let them find someone else… soda prices have gone up about 4 times a year for the last 2 years… and if you change prices after you are in a location they just find someone else to replace you… service is the key… if something breaks fix it by the next day… hope that helps…
