what do you mean? do you mean like a self serve one in a resturant where you push one button to get ice and then one button to get your soda? or do you mean the kind with a can or a bottle?
the one with the separate ice and soda like you see at mcdonalds or whatever, the soda is not actually soda untill it hits your cup. the soda syrup is in a plastic bag inside a box, and becomes soda when carbon dioxide from a seperate tank hits it and then it travels through a tube to your cup. therefor it is always fizzy unless the resturant is out of carbon dioxide….if it is fizzy but still tastes funny then they could be low on syrup or they have the cO2 turned up to high

well, carbonated soda cans can withstand a little rockin’ and a rollin’… the fizzing comes from a hard shake of the can.

it drops on its side. if you roll a can it won’t explode either
